Honestly, I would have no idea how to pronounce Eilslyn so I would either call her by a nickname like “Little Miss” or by her middle name Paige which I can easily say.

    I love Alexander.

cdpslh913059487:  How do you pronounce the girls name? I like them both but I thought the girls name was like Aislin (Az-lin) until I saw the first “L”

The boy name is fine. How is the girl name pronounced??? Is it like ISLES (like islands) -Lynn? The spelling is really bizarre. Not a fan.

Well considering my son’s name is Alexander I do have a fondness for that name

cdpslh913059487:  If you want it pronounced “Ellslynn” then leave out the extra “i” after the first “E”

EIL is not equal to ELL. You will always have to tell people how to pronounce the name. It’s a bad idea.

cdpslh913059487:  Yes, spelled so you read it how it sounds. If you spell it Eislyn no one will pronounce it the way you want. They will say “eyes-lynn”

If you’re going to call her Elsie, why not just name her that? I never would have guessed how to pronounce the name, spelled the way you had it, in a million years. I would feel bad for the kid constantly having to pronounce her name. For the rest of her life.

Have to agree with the pps no idea how to pronounce that! I read it as eyes-Lynn. There are a few friends who have daughters  called Elsie maybe you should go with that x

“Ellslynn” I would have a hope at pronouncing correctly. “Eislyn” I would pronounce Eel-slyn, like the eel that swims in the ocean.  Or, perhaps, eye-slyn, like tropical isle.

Eilslyn… First thing I thought was “dear god what a crazy way to spell Eileen.” And then I took a closer look at it and thought, “Eyes-lynn? Aisles-lynn?” So… yeah, it’s a no-go.

If you want to call the kid Ellsie, call her Ellsie for crap’s sake. At least the boy’s name is nice.
