Nola    March 27, 2011   Traverse City, MI getting married in New Orleans

I am in the TWW and haven't been able to stop thinking about baby names since we got married. I can't lie I have a list of possible names saved on my computer.

I thought it might be fun though to start a new post of baby name ideas that you have for your kids/future kids.  SO what are the fav names of the Hive?

I already have DS that is name Josiah Ray.

Other fav boy names: Grayson, Graham, Grant, Cayden

Fav girl names: Aubrey Noel, Adalyn, Arianna, Olivia(out of the running though because it is MIL name) Yvonne(after his grandma that just passed)

Yay, I love baby names :) And I'm nowhere near pregnant yet, lol. My fave girl names are: Audrey, Ava, Aviva (lots of As, lol), Sophia, Ella, Layla, Sasha, and Chloe.

I love Aubrey Noel too! And Noel is so unique.

Boys are harder for me, I tend to like more old fashioned names: Henry, Max, Charlie, Ben, Jake, Lucas. I also like Harrison and Cooper.

Grayson always reminds me of the kid in The Nanny Diaries :)

Not even close to having a baby and I just started a names list in my planner because I thought if I wrote them down, I'd stop thinking about them.

I only have a few so far:

    Girls: Violet, Hayden

    Boys: Weston

I'm sure the list will grow and grow (and shrink when I get sick of one and cross it off) a lot before I actually have a baby!

@Nola:We haven't really talked too much about the baby subject but we've already "reserved" Jackson for us within the family. I'm thinking Jackson James? For a girl, he actually brought up Dahlia a couple of weeks ago. I automatically think of the Black Dahlia. I do like it....

I have a short list, and am thus far pretty unenthusiastic about boys names apparently.... lol. Good thing we're not planning on trying for a few years at least!

    Alice, Claire, Lucy, Noelle, Cooper.

My fav girls name is actually Mae but its out of the running bc DH hates it and also bc our last name starts with M and Mae M---- would sound a little too....... not good. :)

We also are nowhere near TTC or baby land yet - a few more years.  I like Natalie, Gemma, Avery, Arlene, Elodie, Benjamin & Crosby.

Also I love Claire & Lucy too!  We can't have any names ending in A though since our first name starts with A.  A lot of cute girl names end in a.

@Rgeddy: Ditto at this! We are looking at more like 3-4 years or so.

We haven't really talked too much about baby names with each other, but I have always really liked the names Emily and Ethan.  Who knows how that'll change when we are closer to trying!

    love these names!

I see quite a few Noel/Noelle fans - since we're expecting in December I was planning on using Noelle for a middle name if turned out to be a girl, but we've got a little fella! :) Think we've nailed the name, but keeping it under wraps for the time being. Middle name will be Fredrick (spelled this way), for sure, after my dad.

@mh.albania: My married name is one of your boys names! If you watched "Pregnant in Heels" one of the ladies used it for her son.

DH and I had one boys name and one girls name picked out, so if our second is a girl her name will be Midori Kaye, if we have another boy I'm not sure what we'll do! We never liked or could agree on any other names.

I've always loved names, so I've had an ever-evolving list for a long time. My current favorites are:

    Goyirl

    • Adelaide/Adeline
    • Virginia
    • Quinn
    • Piper
    • Harlow
    • Charlie
    • Autumn
    • Stella
    • Sawyer

    Boy

    • Gabriel
    • Dexter
    • Kieran
    • Lennox
    • Rory
    • Oliver
    • Elliott
    • Rowan
    • Franklin
    • Griffin

As for the little one, I think my top combos are Elliott Franklin and Griffin Theodore for a boy and Autumn Olivia and Piper Madeline for a girl. These will probably change when DH and I discuss it though.

    We like jazz!

Billie or Ella for a girl. We are more partial to Billie because we know a few baby girls named Ella.

Louis for a boy, but we would call him Louie. We used to want Miles, but there are so many boys in our lives with that name now.

@mh.albania: I love your girl names, especial Aria, so pretty :)

For our first girl we already decided we will give her my grandma's maiden name - Hadley and if we have another girl it will be Hattie after my mom - her middle name.

For boys we've never really talked about it but we would probably go with either Rhett or Beau. Both family names...can you tell we're a bit traditional :)

We're not TTC for a few more years yet, but I LOVE thinking up baby names. Plus I'm trying to help my friend come up with a boy name at the moment, so that's fun :P

For girls I like Lucy, Alexis, Ava, Norah, Quinn, Hannah, Alice, and Farrah

Boys are harder...I like Jadon, but it is so common right now. Harrison, Noah, Oliver and Hunter are nice.

    I love all the names!

A few others that I like for girls are Paisley, Paige(can't use), Sophia (can't use), Delaney

Boys seem to be hard for me to track down.  Maybe it is because I really would like a girl this go round...but everyone in his family has boys and swears I can just give up on girl. They haven't had a girl in their family in several generations.

My husband hates all the names I pick though because he wants more traditional names.  We will use Andrew for the middle name though (his first name) to follow a family tradition.

    I love the name posts!!

For boys, the first boy's middle name will be James after my grandpa who passed away last year, and for a second boy's middle name would be William as it is very common on both sides of the family. If my husband had it his way, all of our children would start with "B", because his name starts with a B, and our last name starts with an S.

Tyler James, Bradyn William, Jacob Ryan, Andrew, Evan, Ryan, and Ben.

For girls, the first one's middle name will be Linda after his aunt who passed away a few years ago.

Aubrey Linda, Claire Elizabeth, Emma Lauren, Sarah, Brynlie, Makenna and Grace

I really wanted to name DD "Aida" in the beginning, but realized people would mispronounce it forever.

@Nola:I'm trying to come up with names, too. My hubby has his favorite boy name picked out (and I get no veto power--luckily I mostly like it) and he wants me to come up with a girl name (again, I just get to pick it!).

I've been searching all over the place for names. Next stop is the family tree!

I love a whole bunch of names, this thread is only making my list longer instead of narrowing it down.

I love baby names, even though we won't have one for a few more years at least. For a boy, I love Samuel! And for a girl I have always loved Callista with Callie as a nickname.

    I really only have 1 favorite name....for a girl - Adriyn

I did love Braydon for a boy but one of my co-workers has a son named Braydon, so that's out the door.  And for some reason I really like Rex, but fi won't go for it :)

Hopefully we'll think of more names by the time we decide to have kiddos :)

    Boy:  Nash Michael

    Girl:  Taylor Leigh

DH had "Taylor Leigh" picked out before we ever met....Ironically, my middle name is Leigh - totally weird!  And Michael is DH's middle name, so if we EVER get pg once, much less twice, then they'll hopefully have our middle names.

Edit: When I legally changed my name, I dropped my maiden name so I could keep Leigh in case we ever have a daughter, I'd want it to still be a part of my *official* name...  So I guess we're pretty serious about those middle names!

Wow everyone has such awesome names!  We only have  one name picked out as of right now.  We really like the name Levi for a boy.  As for girls names we have no clue.  But everyone here has such good ideas!
