As soon as I found out DH grandmothers names I knew I wanted to name our little girl Isabelle Joyce if we should have one.  That was 2 years before I got pregnant.  And we started discussing boy names while I was pregnant.  But then we decided to find out the sex so it was a girl.  Either way it would of had a name before baby was born.

@nicannette:  I may or may not already have an extensive list of baby names on my phone…

Haha! I made my list when we first started dating but I just love baby names. 😛

@nicannette:  We’ve batted around names a bit, and have a short list of names we like, but we’ll probably officially decide on the exact name once the baby is actually born.

We had a boy’s name picked on our honeymoon.  We had a girl’s name in mind I think when we were engaged, but has since been scraped since BIL/SIL gave their daughter a very similar name.  We haven’t been able to agree on a girl’s name since…thank goodness this little one on the way is a boy!

We are not even trying yet and we have a spreadsheet of potential names.

We luckily stumbled across a boys name we loved just a few weeks after conception – Luckily we are having a boy! so his name has been decided for quite some time.

We wont be TTC for two years or so, but we’ve talked a lot about baby names. It’s important for both my FI and I to keep some of his cultural side in our naming. But I’m not telling anyone our names until that little one is out. I just dont want to hear opinions.

i am not pregnant yet, but ttc and i already have my names picked out for boy and girl.  I know it sounds crazy, but now that we are ready for a little one i figured out why not have the names ready too. lol

We won’t TTC for a couple of years, either, but we have names picked out already. I chose a bunch (actually, because of a topic on here about baby names!) and FI liked all of them.

I have my personal list of baby names that I’ve been maintaining since I was little, haha, but DH hasn’t seen that. I’m 15 weeks pregnant now & we still haven’t discussed names. I think that after we’re a little further along and we know the sex, then we’ll get serious about it.

I’ve been adding to an excel spreadsheet for years, BUT I do have a favorite first and middle name for a girl that I love and hope someday DH likes as well. Whenever I tried bringing up names he hasn’t wanted to talk about it yet and I just have this feeling he won’t like my names anyway. He’s more traditional and I’m more unique. So I figure we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it and I’ll let him bring it up when we’re actually prego. Right now we’re planning on being Team Green so probably will make a small list for each gender then decide once baby is born. Also not TTC for another 2 years at least. But I LOVE names so much I can’t NOT think of them ahead of time! 🙂

We had first names picked before even TTC. Now that I’m pregnant and we know the gender, we’re working on choosing a middle name.

I love how i’m not the only one who has a spreadsheet with baby names lol. I started my spreadsheet a long time ago, before we were TTC. I’m 11 weeks PG now and DH and I have discussed baby names a bit but we’ll talk about it more seriously once we know the baby’s gender.
