@SouthernSunshine:  Sugar!  A lot of people swear by orange juice to get them moving and grooving.  If you are truly concerned then it’s probably a good idea to make an appointment with your doctor.

@SouthernSunshine:  I had the exact same thing happen to me at exactly the same point in my pregnancy. I posted about it in the October boards a few months ago.

Through my research, I learned that at 22 weeks, babies are going through growth spurts and tend to sleep a lot more. They also have a lot of room to flip and move, so it could just be that your baby is now facing your back and you can’t feel their movements as easily.

My Dr. said not to be concerned about movement until 28 weeks or so. He said as long as you feel the baby move at least once/day, you’re fine until you get later in your pregnancy and there is less room for them to float around.

The same thing happened to me. The doctor told me to get some soft squishy pillows and lay on my stomach on them. Baby girl started moving right away.

I posted almost this exact same thing when I was 23 weeks. It’s really common at this stage!

@SouthernSunshine:  So glad to hear you are okay–that is a scary situation! I read a book that quoted a nurse that said, especially later in pregnancy, if you don’t feel your baby move for awhile and are concerned, CALL the doctor. She said she had seen several heartbreaking situations where women didn’t want to “bother” the doctor and it turned out their babies were in distress in the womb and the worst happened. Scary stuff!

@SouthernSunshine:  Thinking of you!  Hoping baby is just facing your back so you can’t feel the movements.
