    Here is a toughie....

I am planning games for my brother's gf's shower.  It will be a relatively young, possibly booze-happy, co-ed crowd, and an evening 7-11 pm-ish shower.  But she still wants games!

    Any ideas?????

    Thanks!!!!!

one of the worse but funniest games ive played at a baby shower is when people are in pairs and one person is blindfolded and had to feed baby food to her partner and time who is the fastest

messy (i got baby food all over my face) and disgusting (baby food tastes terrible) but people still talk about how much fun it was - be sure to put a tarp/garbage bags on the floor under the chairs

I recently played one where you matched the baby name to the celebrity parent. Plus, you get to see all the "out there" names celebrities come up with.

Another one was matching the baby picture to the celebrity (i.e. celebrities as babies).

another one is a race to see who can dress/diaper the baby doll first.

my friend (and mommy to be) and i are super competative so we had to do it a few times and eventually i let her win - ive been changing nappies since i was 10 so i can do it blindfolded, which i had to do in the end

My FAVORITE baby shower game ever is:

     The diaper game:

    Preperation:

    1. Buy chocolate candy bars - you'll want a variety of textures etc, we used 5 (reeses, kitkat, hersheys, butterfinger, and crunch)

    2. Buy diapers and number them

    3. place a piece of the candy bar into each diaper. 1 candy bar per diaper and make sure to make a master list of which bar is in which diaper.

    4. microwave for a few seconds until the chocolate is melty. Smoosh it around in the diaper.

The guests will each get a numbered sheet, you will pass the "poopy" diapers around and have to guess which candy bar is in each diaper. Guests were allowed to look but not touch or taste. there were only 7 guests (it was a small work shower i threw) so we only had 5 types. If I had more guests I would try more candy.

It was HILARIOUS! We had the best time passing them around and "sniffing" the diapers! LOL here are a couple pictures:

This game I have done at baby showers and bridal and every time it has been LOVED by all.

Get little cheap gifts, about 1/2 of whatever number of poeple there are or a little less.(they can be anywhere from the dollar racks at Michaels/Target, (little harder for co-ed cuz they cant be all girly) scratchers, starbucks gift cards or something. wrap them all in different cute size boxes/bags and place them someone in the middle of all the tables. Then each table gets 2 dice. Set a timer for 5-8 minutes or so, each table starts rolling the dice, one person at a time then passes it to the next person. Once someone rolls a double number they run and grab a gift and bring it back to their table. Once all the gifts are taken then the people start stealing gifts from the people at other tables. So you have mulitple tables getting doubles and running around stealing gifts from the other tables and whoever has a gift when the timer goes off gets to keep the gift. It always gets people screaming and excited even with all ages and people who all don't know eachother.

Yuck to the diaper game...sorry, that still totally makes me want to gag...ack...(no offense)

At my sister's baby shower we only did 1 game: decorate a onsie. We supplied each table with a onsie and a handful of fabric markers:

The photo in the uper left was my 5 year old step-niece, the other photo was my 32 year old cousin! The onsies were purchased in a pack from Target, the markers were picked up from Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon!

ETA: my photo is not uploading...but Everyone had fun!

I had a coed baby shower for a friend a few years ago and most of the guests were in their early twenties...we played a game where the dad and all of the guys chugged beer out of baby bottles...not easy! Ha ha. It was especially cute because we made sure to cut the nipple of the future dad's bottle and the beer came out a lot faster and he won.

I saw an idea for having pictures of the faces of women giving birth and having pictures of women having orgasms and the guests have to guess which is which. Inappropriate for most crowds (don't want grandma seeing that!), but might work for your crowd.

They played a game at my baby shower where they had various statements about my life pre and post pregnancy and the answers matched up with a candy bar.  The person who guessed the correct candy got the candy bar as the prize.  I had never played that one before and I thought it was super fun.  Here is a link to the game.  http://www.fun-babyshower-games.com/name-that-candy-bar-game.html

I would NEVER participate in the dirty diaper game. I think it’s absolutely disgusting.

I co-hosted my SIL’s baby shower a few months ago and our games went over well. I tend to detest shower games so I went with some non-annoying ones…

    • Decorate a onesie: HUGE hit. We got a few packages of onesies in various sizes, provided puffy paint and stamps and let each guest make their own onesie for the baby. Everyone had a great time participating and my SIL got to go home with about 20 personalized onesies that my niece can wear. The only issue we had was that they take a while to dry. Thankfully the shower was at my MIL’s so we left the onesies hanging on the clothesline that we set up to display them for a few days so that they were completely dry by the time she took them home.
    • Gift BINGO: Pretty standard at most showers. Guests fill in a Bingo board with the items that they think the expecting mother (or bride) will receive. It’s best to allow a few winners for BINGO so that the game can last longer.
    • Celebrity baby name match: Guests have to match the crazy baby name with the correct celebrity parents. I’ve also been to a shower that did a variation of this with animals but it wasn’t nearly as fun.

@kate169: We did this at a baby shower as well. It was a fun game and got the biggest reaction from the guys.

We also did a game that included lots of famous sports Dads so a lot of the guys were able to participate in that one as well.

At mine we had a contest to see who could drink a baby bottle of juice the fastest. It is actually really hard to suck out of the slow nipples so it was pretty funny.

I HATE the diaper game! And refuse to play. UGH. And from my experience most moms don't like be reminded of how big their belly is so measuring momma has always been out in my book.

Last one I had fun playing was baby pictionary. No one ever likes to play initially but it ended up being the most fun!

    Drawing "breastfeeding" was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!! BWAHAHA

I think I was the decorate the onsies at mine... sound fun AND practical. lol
