You can never go wrong with bath & body, and not to mention those look so dang cute! Great job :"]] I love them! I'm sure the guests will fill the same way.
Oooh thanks for sharing! I was literally just emailing people about the two baby showers I'm hosting in the next month about games, etc. I'm going to pick up prizes this week and was trying to think of what to buy! Bath & Bodyworks is a great idea! You're awesome, problem solved! And I'm totally stealing your packaging idea :)
@HotPinkPopTart: Thanks!! I wanted to get something that I thought would actually be used.
@bakerella: Steal away =) The gable boxes come from boxandwrap.com and were $8.25 for a package of 6. They have tons of great packaging for reasonable prices. The bows and ribbon came from...wait for it...the dollar tree. I just LOVE a good deal. Also, google Bath and Body Works coupons before purchasing. I found a coupon for an additional 20% off my purchase that way.
@JamaicaBride: Nice! I have an awesome store close to me here called Creative Bag that sells tons of packaging stuffs for wholesale prices. I love a good excuse to visit them ;) Thanks for the tip about Bath and Body Works coupons, I'm wondering if I can sign up for their Canadian email list and get some that way too. I'm so excited now! And I'm a Dollar Store addict, I will definitely be making a trip there too!
That's what I'm doing too! I'm hosting a babyshower for one of my bridesmaids. I'm doing a Mardi Gras theme and Bath & Body Works was having a big sale this past weekend so I picked up a few little things from there. I'm also including a little gift card to Starbucks.
I found super glittery green and gold take out boxes at Michael's that was left over from Christmas. I'm going to add a purple ribbon to them. They were only .40! Score!
@AbbyDabbyDoodleBug: You can't go wrong with B&BW and Starbucks!! You have a fun theme. Is everybody getting beads to wear during the shower?
@JamaicaBride: Yeah, I'm going to have bunches of beads everywhere for decor, plus I'm doing the "forbidden word" game where you will have to take beads away from another person instead of clothes pins! The person with the most will win the prize! And who ever finds the baby in the King Cake will get a prize too!
@JamaicaBride: So my trip to B&BW was INSANE today! Oh my gosh! I got their amazing antibacterial soaps, buy 3, get 3 free. Then the plug in room scents were 75% off (because they're switching the shape, so the one that was on sale you can't get refills for, but whatever), and then little purse sized antibacterial foam 3 for $1. My total bill (which included a belated Christmas present for my stepson's mom) was $130 including taxes. DH and I figured it out, and I saved $271 with the sales! YES!!!!!! I'm so bloody proud of myself!!!! I'll post a photo when I get them all packaged up. Thanks for the awesome inspiration :)
@AbbyDabbyDoodleBug: That sounds like a FUN baby shower. Please post pics once it's done.
@bakerella: WOW! I might need to go stock up. B&BW makes for good last minute gifts =) Can't wait to see the shower pics.
The baby shower turned out great. It was at Maggianos and of course the food was awesome. We laughed, we ate, played some fun games, opened gifts...but mostly we caught up with friends. Here are a few other pics of how everything came together.

Oooh beautiful! I've only ever been to one baby shower in a restaurant and it was gorgeous! I'm used to baby showers in someone's house which are always fun, but you miss out on that linen table cloth type of feel. The cupcakes are so cute! What are the little lamp looking things on the table?
@bakerella: Those are actually wineglasses =) The little covers actually comes in a package flat and you have to stick them together. You can also do the flameless candles in the bottom of the glasses to make them look like mini lamps. They have them in several different designs and I am trying to figure out a way to work something like this into my wedding reception design just b/c it's so darned cute!
Oooohhhh okay. Those are really neat!! I like the idea of putting the flameless candles in to make them like little lamps, so cool! And I bet you could DIY those really easily with a Cricut and some fancy paper (if they're expensive enough to make you want to do that ;)).
Those are super cute!!! Great work! I agree little body washes, lip glosses, etc would be fun :)

I am one of the co-hostesses for a baby shower for a friend and sorority sister. My tasks were to put together the prizes for the games and to do cupcakes.
The baby shower colors are damask (black and white), lavender, and celadon green. Each gabled box contains a bath sponge, lotion, body wash, and body spray from Bath and Body Works. I added the coordinating ribbon and bows in the shower colors.
Hopefully the winners will like them
