I've had such thoughts at those events, but i didn't go "wedding-crazy" or "baby-crazy." I didn't make getting married or having a baby my one life goal, ya know? I think everyone reacts to these things differently. Some women don't ever want to have kids. Back when I was in high school/college i did NOT want kids and going to a baby shower was definitely not going to change that. Now, i'm pretty indifferent. I'm on the fence about kids, but I don't think going to a shower would push me over the edge.

Our coed baby shower is coming up, and my husband told his single friend that if he wants he can bring a girl that he recently started seeing. I'm fine with this, it's just going to be a big party.
But I told him that I feel like it's kind of a big thing to bring a girl to a baby shower. When girls are around baby things, they start thinking about babies. Just like when we go to weddings, we start thinking about our own wedding. I thought he might want to warn his friend about this, but he told me that girls don't think that way.
Am I the only girl who thinks that way?
