Does anyone know if there is a baby/pregnancy related website that is similar to Weddingbee?? If not, there should be...hint hint Mrs. Penguin. I need help! Weddingbee was SO much help during my wedding planning process and was so much fun to read the blogs of other planning brides. It would be great to have something similar being a first timer.

Great idea! I haven't found any great forums for parents. One I found had so much trolling/spamming it was mostly porn!

There has been a lot of talk about this over the past couple years. Initially, Mr. & Mrs. Bee were considering starting "BabyBee" but they decided not to - understandably, after a couple miscarriages. Now they are happy parents to a beautiful baby boy but have still said they don't have any interest in starting "BabyBee".

However, I do think our Baby board on here is very active with lots of parents and great advice! I have learned so much from MightySapphire, Mrs. DG and all the other new moms on there!

You can check DailyStrength. It was a giant help for me when I delivered Moose (an Angel Baby) and I do believe they have pregnancy support and new mom support as well. Since the Stillborn Group was a giant help to me, I do believe that the Pregnancy Group would be good too. That said, I don't think it's as great as WeddingBee for how awesome all the people are because there was some drama (but drama from Angel Baby Moms seems like an acceptable thing because we're crazy emotional for a long, long time).

There's a baby board here that seems active.

My sister posts on Babycenter! She finds it a huge help.

There's The Bump, which is The Knot's baby site.

I'm just putting that out there, but I am NOT recommending it. I've never been on it but if it's anything like the Knot or the Nest, it's evil.

@danadelphia: I've actually found The Nest to be pretty nice if you stick to the local boards. But there isn't as much to talk about.

The bump is good as long as you stick to your Birth Month board. The rest of the boards get pretty mean. Also, the Baby Center is pretty good as well.

I often skim through BabyCenter BUT it is not as user friendly as this site. I really like the usability of this one.

@hmaxwell77: thanks! It just sounds so cute!

@yelhsa439: I just went to that site and now I'm confused. I typed in my due date, jan 3rd, and it said I was 14 weeks along when I am 17 weeks....I don't get it

I would love it if there was a weddingbee baby site- I am already worried about what will happen to me when my wedding is over!!!  I love this community!

I'm so glad we have the baby board here.  I find that there is nothing really comparable on the internet.  I really have a hard time with BabyCenter (way too much drama) and didn't find a pregnancy/baby home elsewhere despite extensive search.

I even toyed with the idea of starting up a pregnancy/baby site myself, but as a pediatrician, I worry that it might lend the site an air of authority that doesn't really exist.  I'm sure that one day we all hope that Mrs. Bee will take this project on.  Nobody creates a site quite like her and Mr. Bee!

@stlginkgo:  I think that site goes by gestational weeks, not pregnancy weeks.  Most of the time your due date is calculated by the date of your last period not when your baby was actually conceived, so when you are 4 weeks pregnant, your baby has only been growing for 2 weeks.

I use BabyCenter {the Canadian version} and love it! Especially the birth clubs where you're chatting with moms at the same stage in pregnancy with you... but I can see how the American site isn't as friendly, oh wow there are *so* many more users in each birth month I can't imagine getting to know anyone!
