My son is 3 months and we use the mirco fleece and halo swaddle. However the only time we do that is when it is really cold out. His room, unfortunately is the coldest room in the house when the door is closed. We do have a heater in there and keep it low at night so it is comfortable, and he doesn't seem to get over heated in both
Ha. Last winter when my son was 4-6 months old I'd have him in socks on hands and feet, footy PJ's, sleep sack, swaddled with a swaddle-me, AND a sleeping cap on his head!! Our house is usually between 65 and 68 degrees.
Maybe it was overkill but he didn't overheat and he slept like a baby :) It worked great for us!
Thanks for the responses.
@jilian: That's really funny. I feel better now. Thanks!

Hello.
When my daughter was born, we her pajamas consisted largely of side-snap Ts, a diaper, and a swaddle blanket. That lasted about two months. Then we started letting her sleep in your typical "sleep-and-play" outfit, and we continued to swaddle her.
Today (she'll be 3 months this week), because most of these outfits are in the laundry, I decided to let her sleep in a microfleece "sleep-and-play" outfit. Instead of her usual thick swaddle blanket, I've wrapped her in one of the Aden + Anais swaddle blankets, as it's a lighter compliment to the microfleece.
We generally keep the room around 68 degrees.
Do you think the microfleece will make her too warm? Do any of you use the microfleece pajamas or do you stick with cotton to keep your babies from overheating?
Thanks.
