I picked "1 month before" but really it's about 3 weeks before the wedding. I teach and the bachelorette party is right when my spring break starts - so I'll have a whole week to recover if I need to!
My 'party' is two weeks before, but we aren't going to 'party.' We're having a slumber party instead.
We are going to Vegas so it is 3 months before with my bridal party then I have one with my high school girls weekend 5 months before at the KY Derby.
kellyalvey! I wish my bridesmaids could afford to do that! lol that sounds awesome!
Mine was 2 weeks before (but that wasn't an option in your poll).
Mine is 4months before and it is alittle early but it was the best time for my aunts to be here with my cousins...we are doing a combo brial shower during the day and bachelorette party @ night. This way every one I want can hopefully make it to both and not have to make 2 trips out.
Mine's gonna be the night before since we are all going getting our nails done (we booked the spa all to ourselves!!) and then a nice dinner with the girls downtown!!!!
daisywu! I like that idea! Is it expensive? In what city are you doing this?
I'm going out with my girls the month before then when we all get in town for the wedding we're going out for drinks and to the spa the next morning. Weddings are also excuses to squeeze in as much girls time with my favorites who seem to be spread throughout the country these days.
I agree! It is the best time to squeeze in a bunch of girl time! Since i hear once your married it's more "we" times then "girl" times!
I'm combining mine and having it the same weekend as my shower, so that my out of town guests only fly in once.
I'm having mine 2 weeks before (but you didn't have that option).
Going up to a lakehouse for the weekend with my bridesmaids and couple other close girlfriends!
Mine was about 5 months before, but for my party we needed snow (and for me to be in the right part of California). With our busy schedules, that meant early!
beachbrideT! thats a really good idea!! I'll have to see if any of our OOT guest will be coming for the shower and consider doing that too!!
We did my bachelorette party two weekends before the wedding. 1. it was easier then the week of but still close enough to the wedding 2. that is when most everyone was available. I think it worked out great!
My vote is going to have to be, I didn't have a bachelorette party!
Mine is about a month and a half before the wedding. Logistics of out of town friends was the deciding factor...I know the date, but have no clue what my wonderful bridesmaids have in store
I would like to have mine 2-3 weeks before the wedding, it will be a fun time to PARTY with all my girls since I'll be so stressed with the date just around the corner!
Lillindy! Why did you have one, if you don't mind me asking?
I'm thinking about doing a girls spa day or something not too crazy! It's not really me anymore.
I picked one month before but it's really 2 weeks before and it's in VEGASSSSSS!!!! :D
i think my FI and i are going to have a combined bachelor/bachelorette party and just all go out to a bar with all of our friends together... prob 1 month before the wedding.
We're going mine 3 months before - in the middle of the summer. The rest of the summer was too hectic with other weddings etc. The weekend involves outdoors/beach and so the summer was our best bet!
I have no idea. My MOH is taking care of all of that. I guess it will be a surprise. I know we are having a Jack & Jill but I dont know when either
My bridesmaids and bridesmen (they're calling themselves 'bridesgays' since they're all gay men, hehe) are going to spend the weekend before the wedding at a cabin located near a ski resort just outside town. We might stay Friday-Wednesday if there's enough for us to do up there (in the summer, there's everything from hiking, mountain biking, bungee jumping, outdoor concerts). So many of them are coming from far away that I really want to spend a lot of time with them before the wedding itself.
I think the bachelorette the weekend before is great if you can swing it because people that live far away (who may be able to afford only one flight) can attend!
I'm doing mine the month of, since my wedding is on the 22nd I have a couple weeks in the month before.
