I am so confused on a bachelorette party. My fiance’s sister (whom is a BM) wants to know what the heck is going on for a bachelorette party and I told her I am not sure.
My fiance’s bachelor party is all planned and set so there’s the idea of at least a date to have it on. I was hoping we could do a joint party but that is not what my fiance’s best man planned and that’s ok and everything. But it was the only idea I had!
The thing is that I don’t have friends… so the only people who will be there is my fiance’s sister’s friends and the girlfriends of the guys, all of whom I am not even close to.
I don’t know what to do. I could opt to not have a bachelorette party but then that would just mean ALL the girls go out and do something, and normally that’d be something I’d be invited to (and have in the past but no friendships sparked, etc). So I’d feel even worse about myself if I didn’t have a party. I’d be the only girl sitting at home! I’d be upset, it’s like I can’t figure out what to do.
What should I do? I am just totally clueless…

@yassim: What about your other BMs? Are they not your friends?

@KatNYC2011: what other bridesmaids? I am having my younger sister be one too but we are not close

You can invite men to a bachelorette party!

What about doing something with just the girls in the wedding party. Go for a spa treatment or a wine tasting, then dinner or something.
This is what I’ll be doing. My only friend who is not a sister/cousin is my MOH. So I told them I’d like it if they planned something more along the lines of a girls day or night.

@yassim: Oh ok. Didn’t know that.
What about a co-ed bachelorette with some of your good guy friends?

What about just going to dinner and the spa with your sister?

Friend friends are not necessarily required. I have one friend friend who lives near me. The rest are out of state, but I was out to lunch with some coworkers and they offered to take me out for a bachelorette party since I wasn’t really having one. I’m just going bar hopping with my best friend. Do you have any coworkers who may want to join you for a night out? Maybe cousins who live nearby? A personal spa day is also a great idea!
