My bachelorette party was the weekend before Halloween but we did dress up because Halloween is my favorite day! All of my friends were dressed up, but there were still plenty of people out who weren’t. Either way, you’ll have a great time 🙂

I went to a Halloween weekend bachelorette party a few years ago and it was a great time! Everyone got super into the costumes, and it was fun to be in a group of sexy ladies, it really puts everyone in the group in a good mood to have fun.

I guess it was fun because people got into it, if you don’t like Halloween then I suppose you wouldn’t like it. But it’s fun to see all the costumes at the club. We went to a restaurant too and it was fun to put the bride on the spot with drinking games there, and have her get attention from people eyeing the costumes 🙂

I think if you liked Halloween and wanted to go in costumes, it would be fun, but I personally love Halloween and would be pretty disappointed if I went to the bachelorette party and couldn’t dress up to go out that weekend. But your friends might be completely different!

If your party was to go clubbing, I’d hate this, because Halloween is one of the worst weekends to go out. The bars and clubs are packed with people who are a lot drunker than usual. It’s amateur night. If your party will be doing something else (like a spa day or such) I’d be fine with it. I guess it depends on how much partying you like to do and how high a tolerance for drunks you have.

HeartsandSparkles:  Have you thought about a dinner? You said you weren’t a party person. I know that is what my cousin’s fiancee did. She hates dancing and hates going to clubs. I also hate them and have no intentions of going to one.

Personally, I love Halloween. I think its just a fun cool time.

HeartsandSparkles:  I am such a Halloweenie that I would find it hard NOT to make it Halloween themed.

HeartsandSparkles:  I would absolutely love doing a halloween theme bach with everyone dressing up! If you pick this weekend you for sure will have packed bars.

Since you seem to not be into it I would totally pick another weekend then.

HeartsandSparkles:  I went to a Halloween bach once and it was a BLAST! We all decided to have our costumes “wedding” themed. Some went as ’60’s bridesmaids, others did the girls from the movie Bridesmaids. I wore all blue, did blue makeup, and put blue streaks in my hair. I went as “something blue”! It really was a great time!

Bars were totally packed, though. If you aren’t into that you might want to pick another weekend. It was sort of nice though because there were more crazy people than normal and my friend still wore a Bach ribbon across her body so people were buying her drinks like crazy. She also got entered into a ton of costume contests and won by default 🙂

HeartsandSparkles:  Ah, okay. Then yeah  I understand you wanting to do something else besides dinner since people are far away. Everyone I have is in town.

I also agree that some people can get mighty weird at the clubs on Halloween.

HeartsandSparkles:  I think that if you go out Saturday it will be way less halloweeny! For many people halloween is the day of, and dressing up the day after is weird.

I think if you go out sat it will be perfectly fine to be in LBDs and you in your white dress. Most people ( unless you are in a college town) wouldnt dress up the day AFTER the holiday

Go out on Sat and you can have a normal not too halloweeny bach 🙂
