i know it doesn't sound fun and is more functional than cute, but aspirin!!
also, maybe a picture frame to put in photos you take on the trip?
and i'm usually against the name and wedding date thing, but i think for a bachelorette party it could be cute, so maybe pins that say "NurseNat's Bachelorette Party Weekend [Date]"
Haha aspirin is actually a perfect suggestion! and I didn't even think of a picture frame! Thanks!
this is a great idea. my bachelorette is coming this weekend and im thinking hard about what to do for them too!! they wont clue me in on ANYTHING but i know its going to be a blast!! i figured maybe a spa treat or something? I have a feeling they'd still say no to me paying lol
Asprin is one of the first things I stocked in the bags I made. I made beach bags, so it has beach related stuff, but how about magazines? They can be any kind so you can make them specific to each person, for example if you have a friend who runs, you can do runner's world. Or a little jewelry box/tin or a pair of sunglasses or hair brushes and hair ties or make up bags (though I guess you can't really put anything in them if you are flying) really it depends on your budget; I'm full of ideas, but I tend to go all out in my thinking (until I get to the checkout counter!!!)
I wrote this in response to some posts about shower host gifts, but I thought the idea would still be great for any type of goodie bags. My goal in my hostess gifts were to get something thats practical. I went to the Dollar Store and got little tote bags rather than gift bags. I filled them with some organic fair trade lotion and soap from the natural foods store. (I can't stand cosmetics with all the fake chemicals and harsh scents!) I also included a small umbrella from the Dollar Store and included a thank you note that said, "here are a few things in case of a shower and to use in your shower"
For the other showers that were given in my honor, I did the typical bottle of wine in a fancy bag. One in particular I ended up purchasing little bottles of wine, the kind that come in a four pack and then little minature wine glasses from Peir One and put thank you charms on the steam.

My sweet bridesmaids are planning a bachelorette weekend full of surprises in NY for me! I know they are all going through so much trouble to do this and spending a good bit of money to come. I want to bring them a fun gift as a thank you to show my appreciation, and I've read some brides make goodie bags! I like this idea and want to include little bachelorette type favors but what else can I put in there? I will be flying with these so please no liquid suggestions! Thanks!
