My sisters are really sweet and they are throwing me a big party on a boat at the local lake. They are paying for boat rental, beer, snacks, etc. I felt bad so I ordered some subs for lunch to try to help out, and my sis was MAD and said that her feelings are hurt because I shouldn't be "meddling". I just want to contribute SOMETHING because I know they don't have much $ and it makes me feel bad that they are doing all this!

I had my Bach party in AC and I think my girls spent a lot of money (of course I don't know how much), but because i know they did, I ended up making goody bags as a thank you! They all loved it and I'm glad I did it!

Maybe you can do the same thing with the theme of your bach party. It doesn't have to be expensive.

my sister and sil took me on a surprise trip to vermont. they paid for flights, hotel, food, and lots of entertainment for the whole entire weekend. they wouldn't let me pay for one meal, even just for myself. i figure i'll return the favor when it's their turn (already did for my sil, we took her on a trip to ny), plus i gave them really nice bridesmaids gifts.
