Today was probably one of the best days I’ve had in a long time. Just a little background info – We’ve all known each other since middle school (~12 years old). One of my good friends is getting married May 1st, and we just picked out her dress today!
Here’s the sitch. We’ve all just recently finished our undergraduate schooling, so we aren’t necessarily rolling in $$! We aren’t too big on strippers, just seems a little overdone. Here’s what we’re working with:
1. The bride is a big music fan (ex: Tool, Toadies, etc.)
2. We all love food and traveling, but can’t necessarily afford a huge out-of-state/country trip.
3. We can spend hours just talking/laughing, so we don’t necessarily need to DO a certain activity.
If y’all have any advice or ideas, please throw them my way! This is the first time any of us have been in a wedding, and we’re kind of clueless

- Wedding: September 2014 - Banff, Alberta
I want to snack on fondue and chat and socialize and then go pre drinking to a few bars then go dancing.

@Nika2013: Are any awesome bands coming to town? Or even just fun music venues you could go to for the night?

@Pixienickie: I think if we could find some good bars that are her style, she’d be really into it!
I’m just a little iffy because we live in TX, so there’s country music around every corner…

@Polygon: Well Tool is playing in March, but they already sold out. We were thinking of trying to find tickets, but the prices were outrageious! I’m going to try and find maybe some local outdoor festivals or concerts that won’t break the bank.

@Nika2013: I’ve heard Austin is supposed to be awesome for music and food. Not sure if that would be possible for you guys because Texas is huge, but it’s a thought.
If not, see if one of her favorite bands will be in your area soon and plan around that? Or you can see about hitting a bar or two with live music she might like.
