Planning my own Bachelorette party (bc no one in my bridal party is reliable). Not a fan of the club scene.
Was thinking drink, dinner and a show or drink and dinner with a show (broadway, burlesque, cabaret). Something under $125 per person. doing it on November 10th. Open to suggestions.

I’m also not a fan of the club scene. Your idea sounds fun!
Some other possibilities for having fun on the cheap –
– For still a fun, possibly drunken time: what about a comedy club? For really cheap, Upright Citizens Brigade could be fun (shows are $5-$10 per person, but pretty short)
– A bunch of places do private baking or cooking classes for bachelorette groups (often with drinks)
– Drinking on the Staten Island Ferry (they allow booze!)
– Lucky Cheng’s could be fun (drag show dining cabaret thing)

My girls are planning me a dinner and karaoke night…granted 80% of the people coming are involved in musical theater so our idea of fun may be skewed 🙂

Have you considered Lucky Chengs? It’s super popular for bach parties and I’ve been, it’s really fun. This will cover dinner, drinks and a show all in one! Food and drinks are good, entertainment is pretty hilarious. Makes for a great time. http://luckychengsnyc.com/
What about a pole dancing party? You can look up a million of them in the city. Then dinner and drinks after.
You can also do an off-broadway show. Tony and Tina’s Wedding comes to mind. I haven’t been, but it seems theme-appropriate. I’m sure there are other ones that are fun. Check out broadwaybox for deals on broadway and off-broadway shows.

I am not into the club scene either, but I had a great time at Culture Club. They are an 80’s themed dance club so it’s very silly and fun: http://cultureclub.com/
It doesn’t feel clubby and the music is fun.

My sister held a birthday at Duane Park (http://duaneparknyc.com) and it was amazingly fun!!! Wonderful burlesque show with yummy dinner.. might be a littie over $125pp though (not sure cuz FH paid). And you can always continue the party bar-hopping 🙂

We went to something off Broadway for a friend’s party: Amazing 80’s prom or some such title. You can also get a party bus and do a wine tour in Long Island.
