    Hey Ladies,

Planning a bachelorette trip to sanata Barbara in January! (any idea how cold it will be ?) The house is already booked that we will be staying in. Defintely want  to do wine tasting- with a group of 6 any suggested companies to use?

Also, any other restaurant/things to do/bar recommendations would be great!

    Thank you!

Where do you want to do wine tasting? In SB or would you be open to going up to the santa ynez area?

Either place. I think I've read that Santa Ynez is better becuase you get to go to the actual wineries. I would prefer it be a tour type thing so no one has to drive. But if you recommend doing it on your own I am fine with being DD.

Thanks in advance for your help!

You CAN do it on your own, but it's so much more fun to do it as part of a tour so everyone can partake.  I would look into tours or just hiring a driver for the day (we did that, just like prom, ha!)

Also, stop at Anderson's on State Street, it's a bakery/restaurant with to-die-for pastries and is on one of the central strips with shops, etc.

There is also the urban wine trail in the Funk Zone area of Santa Barbara (near the beach).

For restaurants, Opal is fantastic! Great food and service, reasonably priced and it can easily be a place where you can dress on the fancier side or show up in jeans. If you're looking for a stiff drink and some Santa Barbara history, Harry's is pretty good. Blush has tasty food and a cool club-type vibe. Epiphany is a great locale; directly across from the gorgeous courthouse.

For a cheap, breakfast eat (and good if anyone has a hangover) try Cajun Kitchen.

As far as the weather, I suggest donning layers. Lately it's been kind of chilly and rainy, but you just don't know what you'll get in January. Typically the weather in SB is wonderful.

If you're still searching for a company, I really like the Cloud Climber Jeep tours (ccjeeps.com). It can be a little chilly to ride into the valley as you end up riding in the back of an open Jeep, but the drivers are really fun and you get to see and experience more than you do from a van. Plus, they take you to Panino, my favorite sandwich shop, in Los Olivos.
