My FI and I are getting married in Winter Park and will be in Denver the night before we head up there to have our bachelor/bachlorette parties.  Since, no one is from that area can the CO bees suggest some fun laidback places to go.

For the girls, dinner out and then a fun/trendy (not overly upscale) bar

For the boys, dinner out and then something really laid back (maybe sports related)

    Thanks in advance!

for the gals for dinner, i suggest cuba cuba (which may be a bit upscale for what you are looking for), and during happy hour, morton's (and seriously only at happy hour, but they have a good selection of hh food), h burger co, blake street vault, steuben's (which is uptown, not downtown, but fun times and good food).  for the boys, i would suggest the cherry cricket (in cherry creek), the paramount cafe, city grille, or wynkoop.  for drinks for the gals, the corner office, or corridor 44 are both swanky and fun (i don't know what overly upscale means to you, but custom cocktails are 8 bucks ish there, and beers are about four bucks).  i've not been to the tavern downtown but the tavern uptown might be just what you are looking for, and i would imagine the downtown version is similar.  for drinks for the guys, maybe pat's or croc's on market...cheap and sporty.

@corleycolorado: Thanks! I'm not so much concerned with prices, more I don't want to have to wear a cocktail dress.  I'm best in jeans and a cute top!  FI loves Cherry Cricket, we went there last time we where there to finalize wedding plans.  I'll check all of those out.  Thanks again!

    Keep those suggestions coming!

ok if prices are no biggie then i say corner office, corridor 44 (which is a champagne bar!) would all be good choices.  if you are looking to keep it in downtown, cuba cuba is in the golden triangle area (which is still about three minutes from the heart of lodo, but i thought it was worth mentioning), so maybe not what you are looking for.  it really depends on what you want to do.  anyway, there is almost nowhere in denver that you can't get away with nice jeans and a cute top (although i have never been to morton's in that attire, i have seen others go that way.  mortons is a  chain though, so you can go there anytime.)  also, the wine loft on 15 and wazee(ish) has some good appetizerish food and they have two for one prosecco for ladies on thursday, and, oh, i almost forgot...the ninth door!  that place is yummy tapas and chic.  definitely an "out on the town" type place.  hmmmm, do i sound like a barfly?  lol.
