Hopefully you all like craft beer, because Asheville has some awesome breweries to visit.  A few years ago, DH and I took an Asheville Brews Cruise which was a lot of fun.  You have a driver who will take you to a few breweries, talk about the different styles, and give out samples (and there are quite a few samples).

The Blue Ridge parkway is really gorgeous this time of year.  If you are into hiking or outdoors stuff, just spend a couple of hours driving along the parkway and stopping for photo ops.  The Biltmore Estate is also lovely, but tickets are pricey ($50 per person just to get into the grounds).

Definitely do brunch at Tupelo Honey Cafe (there are several locations around Asheville, downtown is usually the busiest).  The food is amazing.

I personally found Tupelo to be over-hyped, but the breweries around town are definitely awesome.

I agree, Tupelo is very over-hyped. Make sure to check the schedule at the Orange Peel, they may have a show you don’t want to miss. And btw, I highly recommend don’t want to miss out on a little good natured fun. Ha.
