FrenchNewlyWed:  I did some prenatal yogaand also “yoga for back pain” videos on YouTube. I think you’ll need to do them more than once a week to have it really make a difference- three times a week would probably be the best. I also sat on a swiss ball (big exercise ball) instead of a chair. You can lift your feet up and try to balance (using your core to stabilize you) or just move your hips around on it, engaging all the little muscles in your pelvis. I think it’s fun to try to balance on the ball, just be careful at first if you’ve never done it before (maybe have someone stand behind you as a spotter just in case).

FrenchNewlyWed:  I’d say the 65 or 75 cm would be fine. I’m not sure what size mine is, to be honest. I’m not sure what the weight means? I know some have sand in them but mine is just a ball. Good luck to you! I forgot to say congrats before! Or, felicitacions 🙂

FrenchNewlyWed:  Hey fellow April mama!  I just wanted to pop in to let you know I’m also having the hip/pelvis pain – from what I’ve read, this is called Posterior Pelvic Pain and is pretty common during pregnancy (possibly even more so than back pain).  I’m going to ask my midwife about it today and see if she has any recommendations for how to alleviate the discomfort.  I’ll let you know if she has any good advice 🙂 But otherwise, I agree with MrsAKSkier that increasing the frequency with which you do yoga may help.  I’ve been doing it occasionally as well and am trying to be more consistent with it.

FrenchNewlyWed:  My doctor told me I could try a heating pad or a warm bath to try to sooth the discomfort, or Tylenol is OK, but that it’s really nothing to worry about.  So, yeah, I guess we just keep doing what we’re doing and deal with the discomfort as best we can.

I’m due April 3.  I’ve been feeling great lately, too!  Dealing with a headache today, but I think that’s mostly because I was up really late last night and woke up starving and thirsty.
