I just can’t justify paying a venue for things I can get for free.

But you can’t get a venue for free anymore, so there’s really no justification for your logic.

It’s nice to try to save as much money as possible, but sometimes you just have to suck it up and dish out.

Your wedding date is 4 months from now in a big wedding month… I don’t know how easy it will be to find a venue now – free or not.

@Katiebear2009:  It depends on where you live and the relationships you have in that community.

Many churches allow their regular members to use the church hall at no or minimal cost.

Ditto with community centers, sports clubs, fraternal organizations etc.

Many public parks will let you rent out parts for under $100.00, so it depends on where you live.  Maybe try something like that?  It would be entirely outdoors but your wedding is in May, so it might be worth a shot?
