dianaangela621:  So because she said they are too big, that’s it? I think you should try on as many backless gowns as you want and you can make that decision all on your own! Don’t let her step all over your dream because you are gifted 😉

Geez! Some people!!!!

If you can get a proper fitting backless bra of some sort that would not show, I don’t see why you cannot wear a backless dress?  Or maybe the dress could be altered to have a back piece that would cover a normal bra?

I don’t have a backless dress, but a very large keyhole, so it is practically backless.  I’m pretty small busted, so I can get away with just cups sewn in the dress, but there is not much else you can do.  A backless, strapless bra offers really no more support than cups do and would move around everywhere.  My seamstress did say that some girls with larger busts can get away with just cups if they are perky enough.  The cups will help give shape, but not really lift the girls.

The only other idea I have, if the gown has straps (and most backless dresses do), you might be able to get one of those backless undergarments and goes around your waist and arms.  You would just have to be careful to buy one that doesn’t show, and be ok with the fact that it will probably make you significantly warmer on your wedding day (not sure what season you are getting married in)
