I’m fixating on my dress delivery–they say it’ll be here at the end of July and my wedding is mid August. Ack! That doesn’t give a lot of time for potential alterations.
Has anyone purchased a “backup” dress in case their original dress might not arrive in time? I keep hearing horror stories about mixups of orders, botched alterations jobs, etc. So I keep thinking of getting a backup from dressilyme.com. They’re not expensive and maybe a $200 backup dress is a good idea, if only for my sanity.

Well, if it’s not a big dent in your budget and it would make you feel better, go for it.

Completely your call, although I would trust the salon to deliver your dress on time. Make sure you have already made an appointment for your alterations.

If it is in your budget then go for it. That isnt a bad plan and then you can sell it when you are done but you can also get gowns for $99 at Davids Bridal.

I would say maybe scout out a couple local stores and have an inexpensive dress in mind in case your dress doesn’t arrive in time. I, personally, would not go out and buy another dress right away. My fingers are crossed for you!

Totally, your call. If it would put your mind at ease, then I say sure why not?
