With 7 weeks to go until our wedding, I was freaking out as my dress just wouldn’t fit. Despite loosing some weight, it was still a good 2 inches from zipping up over my ribcage/ boobs.
I decided, before looking in to alterations (which are much more expensive here in Aus than they seem to be in the US), that I’d order a cheap “Backup” dress from a chinese company.
It arrived today, wdyt?

that’s really pretty! I like the swirly detail. If your other dress doesn’t fit, that’d be a beautiful gown to wear 🙂

I do like it, but I’d love to see your original dress also!

It’s simple and a pretty replica (that Reem Acra is one of my all time favorite dresses), and if you end up having to wear it it’s certainly lovely enough on you, but I’m also curious to know what your original dress looks like.

Thats a gorgeous dress! I love how the skirt is so flowy, the sheer cap sleeves, and that neckline is the most flattering neckline EVER imo. If this is your backup plan, I’d love to see the 1st dress.

Here’s a photo of my first dress for those that were curious:

Both dresses are pretty, but your first dress is gorgeous! I know it may be expensive, but I’d really look into having it altered. Most dresses can be taken out a size which translates to about two inches.
