Get ballroom regular width dancing shoes with a 2.5" heel. Lots of support, but higher and more $ : (4 votes)

Get wide kitten heel pumps. They'll be half the price, but I probably won't wear them again. : (1 votes)

Get something else (explain) : (0 votes)
Just wear your regular bridal shoes. If you are in that much pain, just go barefoot. : (7 votes)

So, I've played it pretty safe with my bridal shoes. I'm wearing a 2.25" wide width pump under my dress.

However, I wore so many heels back in the day, that I have to be careful what I do now.

So, I have a couple options. What do you think?

     Options:

    Ballroom Dancing Shoes:
PRO:  They have great support, FI and I will be doing quite a bit of swing dancing, I know I will wear them again to dance, and some of the styles aren't so bad.
CON: Expensive option, they don't come in wide widths, and I will have to get at least a 2.5 in heel which is higher than my regular shoes

    Kitten Heels:
PRO: They have them in a 9wide, which is my true size, they're low, its less complicated to order them, they're 1/2 the price of the Ballroom dancing shoes
CON: I will never wear them again, the styles aren't all that cute, they don't have much support, I may have to get them dyed, they may flip off my foot when we dance unless I find ones with an ankle strap

    Something else:
Is there something else I'm not thinking of? I know I cannot wear flip flops. They just won't stay on my feet for very long!

    Just wear Pair numero uno:
Seriously, when push comes to shove, am I REALLY going to want to change my perfect shoes I originally got? Will I really be standing for that long that I could be in that much pain? Am I just going to waste my money?

Alright, give me a vote, and let me know what you think!! You ladies are wonderful!!

I think you should wear the ones that you got! They don't really sound that bad and 2.5" isn't terribly high. That is what I would do. Just take em off if your feet start to hurt, no one will even notice probably.

Or you could do something really different like me. Backup Shoe Question : wedding shoes second pair of shoes Icon Biggrin I am bringing some matching tennis shoes that match the ones the groom will be wearing. That is actually where we got the idea for our colors! A pair of orange and blue onitsuka tigers.

Hmmm...I chose the ballroom shoes, but I'm a little torn.  Have you walked much in your ceremony shoes?  If they seem comfy, stick with those.  I'm a two shoe bride, but I'm going almost 2 inches lower for the reception which is why.  My dress maker is making the petticoat adjustable so I can get away with this.

A lot of people tell me the adrenaline is so high you won't notice your feet.  I don't want to take chances, though.

The way my dress poofs out, I will be okay if I get a shorter heel. It won't drag on the floor too much...

OMG. Those shoes are fantastic!! I hope that you seriously do that! That is not really my and my FI's style, but that would be so fabulous to see another member of the 'hive do it!
