I would love that. It is very easy for guests to turn their chairs to witness the ceremony. It is also very practical as you don't have to spend extra money renting chairs for the ceremony.

@RachandJosh: I agree! It's a great idea. I went to a small backyard wedding and they had two long tables. The aisle was in between the two tables. The only problem was they didnt have a microphone so we couldn't hear anything. The way the seats were it was also difficult to see. Round tables would solve the problem of not being able to see though.
We had a separate area for the ceremony. The tables were set up on the porch/near the pool and we got married between the pool and the garden. I had hired a guy to help serve food (buffet style - he just had to keep things full) and after the ceremony, I had him move the chairs from the ceremony to the tables.

Has anyone made this work or have photos of the setup? I'd love to hear some thoughts. We want to keep things simple, but also want guests to feel comfortable. Thank you!
