@BrideToBe14:  Did you price compare? I’ve never seen a digital file for that much. Does she have decent reviews?

I would see if you can get a refund through Etsy and/or cancel your current order since it hasn’t been fulfilled. Also Etsy vendors live and die by their reviews, so if you are truly unhappy a negative review would probably be fitting. If you are able to cancel your order, I would check out vistaprint.com, I got all my stationary there for a really reasonable price and it’s regulated so that you don’t have to put all of your trust in one person!

Good luck I hope it works out for you!

You paid her $100 to copy and paste some words into a design? Geez, that seems steep. I would expect some printing for that price.

I wonder if something happened to her?

@BrideToBe14:  Etsy is wonderful if you vet your sellers and compare products just as you would if you were buying from a regular store. Read all policies, etc. I’m sorry you had a bad first etsy experience but like all shopping, online or otherwise, I highly recommend contacting sellers about their products beforehand, to see what their reponse is like, the vibe you get from them, and contacting many options to determine what might work for you and your budget best.

I would say, send her a message saying something like, “Per your shop’s policies, I expected to receive the file by X date. It’s now Y date and not only do I not have the file, I haven’t heard from you at all. As this is time sensitive, if you cannot get me the file within the next 48 hours (or whatever), I would like a full refund so that I can get the work done through a different vendor. Please respond quickly. Thank you.”

That sucks, I have bought a lot from Etsy and never once had a bad experience. Don’t let this lady sour you on Etsy.

Id probably start looking for something else you like, and request a refund via Paypal. They should take the money back from her.

@BrideToBe14:  I’m not sure if you can leave a review if you cancel, sorry! I would check on Etsy about their policies, or maybe file a complaint with Etsy about her. My FI sells stuff on Etsy so I know they are tough on their vendors about reviews and pleasing customers, so it’s surprising she hasn’t yet responded to you. GL!

@BrideToBe14:  It sucks you found what appears to be a bum vendor especially if you like her stuff. You COULD tell her you want a refund and see how fast she responds before you go buy something else. But at this point I”m not sure if you want to deal with her. I’ve ordered SO many digital invitation files for various event’s and parties off Etsy. Too bad she’s being so non responsive.
