So bees. I’ve been at the bridal salon for my hair trial for 3 1/2 hours so far my hair has just been washed and dried (Only takes 30 mins to do that). The hair stylist keeps working on other people’s hair, whlie I just sit here. I’m hungry, thirsty, tired…annoyed. I know I can’t go through with all of this on my actual wedding day; I’m going to be so stressed and will nothave time for this! I don’t even have time for this today. I’m thinking of leaving? Have you guys experienced this?

@Chelwilly: I think if you were sitting under the dryer, or waiting for your highlights to set or something like that, taking other people would be acceptable. However, nothing irks me more than when I make an APPOINTMENT for something, and then somehow lose my spot to others. I would leave and find a new salon for your wedding day.

Are you just waiting for her to start on you? I would ask them if this is an unusually busy day? And how to make sure on your wedding day you won’t have to wait like this. I mean… that’s pretty ridiculous. I would talk to the owner and explain to her that 3 1/2 hours for someone to wait when they made an appointment is not acceptable! How rude!

@rcac1208: yes I had an appointment! That’s what is so irritating.. And all I’m getting is a style- no highlights, nothing extra. Ugh. 🙁

Honestly I would have probably gotten up and left by now. That is not the type of service you are going to want for your day.

@Chelwilly: Boo – that’s ridiculous!!! She’s supposed to be styling your hair – I would be furious if she was off working on other people! I agree with the other bees.. ask them what’s up and then if they don’t have a decent answer (like 3 of the other stylists failed to show up for work or something and they are frantic..) then get the heck outta there.

Please leave. They are being so rude and disrespectful. How annoying.

@Chelwilly: i would speak up. now. why haven’t you said something to the stylist or owner for that matter?
this is very unprofessional and unacceptable.

thats weird that they washed ur hair since most of the itme they want it dirty to hold the style….

Although it is very common for stylists to book multiple clients in overlapping blocks of time to allow for color processesing, foil removal, hair washing, etc. I am stunned that your hair trial is taking this long.
Depending upon your hair type and desired style, a stylist usually will ask you to arrive with clean, dry hair on the day of your event, and the stylist will then blow out (to smooth) and style your hair accordingly.
They also should have offered you something to drink and on which to snack. I definitely would express my concerns to the powers that be at the salon.

I left early! Thanks bees, I knew it didn’t feel right?! I’ve been getting my hair done from a lady that works out of her house forever, and she will be on vacation for my wedding date, so this was honestly one of my first salon experiences. Not a good one!

And updo shouldnt take longer than an hour and a half to 2 hours for something complex. They shouldnt wash and dry your hair first, and SHOULDN’T be working on other clients while you sit and wait! That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard!
good luck finding a new salon, maybe one of your friends can recommend a good place 🙂

Please leave! 3 1/2 hours is ridiculous. As previous posters mentioned, maybe if you were getting highlights or something I could overstand waiting a few minutes while she tends to another customer. Because you’re just getting a style, though, I would walk out. It’s not fair to you, is wasting your time, and proving that they really don’t care about your business. I’m sorry your experience was bad OP, but take this as a lesson – and leave them a bad review online!

@Chelwilly: This hair stylist is greedy. She overbooked to make more money and now you have to suffer for her poor decision making. That sucks. I’m so sorry you’re going through this and I know the struggles of finding a good hair stylist, but she’s immature. I don’t know what to tell you 🙁

@Chelwilly: did they at least apologize for the delay? i hope that you didn’t have to pay for your wash.
