@kes18: I usually do pumpkin cream cheese no bake pie because its fast, easy, and delicious. I had a really good original recipe that I can’t find, so I found some similar ones online, but they just don’t have the same consistency. You seem like you are a way more experienced baker though, so if you’re interested cream cheese and pumpkin actually taste delicious together.
However, all of those above sound amazing, especially the one with pecan steusel (I ccouldn’t look becuase it was at a blocked domain on my work computer though–stupid firewall).

@kes18: My all time favorite pumpkin pie receipe is in this post. It is much lighter and tastier than regular pumpkin pie. I usually increase the ginger as we all LOVE it.

@beachbride1216: I make a pumpkin cheesecake thats pretty good
Also I always heat up my canned pumpkin in a sauce pan before I bake it. Takes the ‘tin’ flavor out!

@beachbride1216: Yum! Gooey butter cakes are good so I will have to look it over!
@megz06: I thought about a cream cheese/pumpkin pie or a combination cheesecake but I was asked to bring pumpkin pie (I’m sure she means the traditional type lol) so I didn’t know if that was straying too far…but I love cheesecake so I might think about it.
@julies1949: Thanks for the tip!
@Boxerlover24: OMG I love cheesecakes!

My fmil made a pumpkin pie with strudel on top that was amazing. Such a simple change, but it made the pie so much more unique and delicious!

@zumbaista: I’m not really a big fan of the typical pumpkin pie. I will eat a piece on thanksgiving and that’s all I need for the year. This year…I had some amazing pumpkin pie. I could have eaten it every day! I wish I had the recipe. It was spicier than normal pumpkin pie, so maybe they just had extra spices. And the streudal had nuts in it along with (I’m guessing) bourbon. It was so good!
If it was up to me, I’d never make a the “normal” recipe pumpkin pie!
