@MsPanda:  Have the amazing baker make a tutu cake!  Possibly have your daughter on there as a ballerina as well.  =)

I’m looking up ideas and someone hired an aspiring ballerina instructor (cheaper than a real instructor) for the party.  Aww!

You can so do this! It’s lovely and fun and i’m sure the girls will love it!

EDIT: I didn’t see that you didn’t want to DIY, forget this one… how about this one?

@MsPanda:  I thought since you mentioned that you are making tutus for the girls you could hang them on the bottom of the cake for them 🙂 I wish I was 5 again, that sounds like such a fun party!

Pinterest can help save the day here. 🙂

Most of the links I found really focused on connecting the theme through common colors. Most are, unsurprisingly, pink with accents in various shades.

You can also think about food in terms of ballet terms. If you put out a little card to identify it, come up with a cute little play on famous ballet titles and related vocabulary. This would be more for the adults than kids, but they would get a kick out of it if their little girls are just as into dance.

Never underestimate how cheap, simple touches can go a long way. For example, you could take the tutu idea and apply it to the entire table instead of glass jars like the link above. If you can find some girly colored fabric on sale for a table cloth, then top it with a sheer fabric and wrap the table edge with ribbon in a similar color. Now your entire table is themed for not much money.

Feathers are also a great way to add a little girl ballerina feel to decor. Craft stores will have brightly colored boas cheap.
