So I got a ballgown, Allure 2710. On the picture I’m wearing a petticoat but it had the hoops and I’m not sure I like that. I want to be able to sit comfortably in the limo or at the reception without my skirt being all weird.
Has anyone used a petticoat without hoops?
I found this one online and I’m considering giving it a shot but at 90 dollars, it is a bit of a risky purchase if it doesn’t work…
Yay on the petticoat? Or nay?

I used a petticoat with my dress that did not have hoops. I never cared for the idea of them. I didn’t have an issue not having hoops. I actually flipped the petticoat upside down, hung it on a hanger and put it in the shower to let it expand/ get all the wrinkles out.

I would recommend no hoop because the rings can sometimes be seen under tulle skirts. Opt for a crinoline with lots of layers. UnderCover is a great petticoat brand that you can get from a bridal shop – runs about $90-$100. But you DO need a slip under that or it will buckle and won’t give you that GORGEOUS ballgown shape!
