@LizLemon:  I am going to watch this thread. Our house looks so bare. Our couch is a hand-hand me down with gross couch covers. I don’t want to decorate too much because I want to wait to get new furntiure to finish the look. Thanks for this find!

@LizLemon:  Ooh I like! What size is your bed? I’m looking to spend around $60-$70 for new bedding for our new bed, but it’s a king and everything is so expensive.

slickdeals, slickdeals, slickdeals!  slickdeals.net is awesome for all kinds of deals, even home deals.  I got a nice set of cookware, knifes, bedding, etc from deals that I found on there.  Love it.

The sale/clearance section at Kohls is pretty good. We got an 8-piece bed set for our King size bed for only $45. It was pretty awesome.

Also, I’m not sure what area you live in, but Home Goods (the home-store equivalent of TJ Maxx) always has great stuff.

@LizLemon:  i loooooooooooooooove TJ MAXX and home goods!

@coffeegal85:  I second this.  Just about *everything* i buy is from seeing a deal on slick.  From peanut butter to headphones to a 60″ flat screen, I find deals on slickdeals.

I cheated on some of my best deals though, since I have a relative that got STEEP discounts at a store.  I got my Nespresso for $60 (originally $300), two night stands for $60 each (originally $300), new outdoor light fixtures for $17, Wushtof 10″ and 6″ knife set for $50, Wushtof 6 piece steak knifes for $30 (originally $150).

As for legit deals, I find lots of great stuff on overstock.com

Beautiful bedding, and awesome price!

I saw this wall art that matched our living room furniture when we bought our couches. The store had it retailing for $350.

A month later I found it at Bed, Bath & Beyond for $100. Then I used a 20% off coupon, so I got beautiful wall art with a cherry frame for $80 🙂

@pinkshoes:  So I’ve been wondering about Home Goods – is Home Goods the same as TJ Maxx, as in are they the same store? Or different stores under the same parent umbrella?

@AnnieAAA:  I’m pretty sure its basically the same store.  Lots of times we have a TJMaxx/ Homegoods as one store and I think you can return items to ether one if you buy at either one.
