I think they’re nice as an accessory. And note all the balloons above are round which separates them from the “birthday party-esque” ones. I think the oval ones look tacky!

I’ve seen some balloons at weddings that work really really well. As PP said, I guess it depends on how you approach them, shape, size, quality and colour all play a massive factor on whether it will look like a kids party.

All the photos you’ve shown for inspiration are looking lovely though <3

I think as long as they are white, or very pale at least, and good quality balloons, used minimally, it will look great!

I think the ones in the pictures you posted look lovely! If you did it like that then I say go for it. Unfortunatley, balloons at the weddings I have seen just look realy tacky.

@leecy87:  I might be biased but I think balloons are good, just round ๐Ÿ™‚ I have my table numbers attached to the strings of the balloons (not like the photo you showed above, more like glued double-sided to the string)

Fi was worried it’d look cheap but the decorated said the key is to float the balloons at different heights to add interest ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m not a fan of any balloons at wedding. Especially as centerpieces. I do like a huge balloons for pictures but not actually as decor.

I think a few balloons here and there would look out of place, but I think a balloon-themed wedding would be awesome! And a lot of fun! You would need a lot of balloons to fill the space and keep to light-colored, pale wedding-colored, balloons.

    But I think it’d be awesome!!  ๐Ÿ™‚

I have to say that I’m one of the people who thinks balloons are for bday parties and not weddings, but those pictures convinced me otherwise.  I agree with you about them needing to be large and round so they don’t resemble “birthday” balloons.  I think it’s great!

I voted that they look best in outdoor weddings. Something about them being inside just doesn’t look right to me.

I think ballons at weddings are a go ! ๐Ÿ™‚

It all depends on the quantity and the quality though ! Were you planning on having many at your wedding ?

I think it could be really fun – make sure they’re tied with something other than the traditional curling ribbon – maybe with a beautiful 2″ wide satin ribbon…..definitely round and non-shiny.
