- Wedding: October 2013
I know the trend du jour is to have those pink/blue/purple/whatever lights in ballrooms during weddings. Here’s the thing: I don’t my room to be swimming in some neon color. I think it’s kind of tacky.
The ballroom in which I am having my wedding has no such lighting anyhow, but the DJ I hired does offer it at an extra cost.
My wedding colors are cream, gold and navy and I’m looking for a warm/romantic/victorian look.
The DJ said he has an amber shade of uplighting and that a few of those units around the room might add a nice touch.
I’ve never seen amber uplighting. I’ve only seen the 80s-style shades.
Below is a pic of “my” ballroom. Think I should spring for the DJ’s lights?
Will I have enough of a warm glow without them? Or will the room fall flat?
