@ladygoodman-- I am in the exact same boat! I have looked at some folks' websites online and can't believe how much some secular officiants charge ($400 or more!). If you find someone good, let me know! And if I finally find someone, I'll be sure to post!
Ditto on officiant recommendations. I've checked out a few online but they're all faaaar too expensive.
So, we're all just looking still?!?
Come on b-more brides! Help us ladies out!
I am using Joyce Cochran, from sayidoyourway. We were originally going to go with her husband, Bill, but he had a prior commitment. They are both non-denomitional and have gotten really good reviews. Plus, they are super nice. It's $500 for a wedding and then another $100 if you are having a rehearsal. They are based out of Rockville, but Joyce said coming up to Baltimore wouldn't be a problem and there isn't an extra charge.
I'm planning on using a minister from one of the local Unitarian churches - they tend to be very non-denominational and non-judgmental (Unitarian Universalism isn't a Christian religion, and it is very open and accepting of all people). I would check with them - sometimes they will do things like this for the cost of a donation to the Church, etc.
We're getting married September 4, 2010 in Maryland. Our officiant is Sharon Winterling. She is priced very well and so far we both really like her. I'm so excited! Hope this helps!

I just had my first meeting with our officiant, Rev. Debby Altomonte. She is really, really nice, very laid back and flexible. My FI and I are really excited about working with her. Her fee is $300 (or $350 with a rehearsal), which was one of the best prices I found.
In case you (or anyone) are still looking, we used Rev. Laura Cannon (http://www.divinetransformation.com/) and we LOVED her - she is seriously awesome, and so sweet. Her prices start at $325 (for local weddings), and I highly recommend her! Mrs. D'orsay also used her!

Hey Ladies -
I have booked all my vendors except for an officiant! My fiance and I are not part of a church and we're looking for a non-denominational officiant. So, who did you use? Do you have any recommendations?
