Hi ladies! I have this amazing ring but I don’t know what to do for a band. I’ve talked to one jeweler who said that if I get any actual band (plain or diamonds) and wear it with my engagement ring, it will wear down the side diamonds on my engagement ring. Sodering is no an option at all since it would ruin it.
I could wear my engagement on my right hand and a band on my left, but I’d prefer not. Any suggestions! Or do any other ladies out there have an engagement ring with side diamonds and can tell me what they’ve done?

I had sort of the exact opposite problem. Lol. I had a wedding abdnt aht has side diamonds that were gouging away at the metal on my engagement ring. One jeweler suggested getting a band with diamonds so I would have diamonds on diamonds, but that idea seemed worse since diamonds break diamonds. I am actually exchanging the band with side stones for a setting with sidestones to wear with a low plain gold band. The band should sit low enough to not rub against the diamonds, and then there is no direct friction. Other than soldering or moving your ring, there is not a lot of options. Some bees suggested a spacer ring for me. A thin 1 mm band between your ering and band that if it gets scratched up and ruined wouldnt really matter. Maybe try that?

Beautiful ring! A quick google search is showing several people wearing rings (is this a pave?) and having a band right next to it despite the diamonds touching the band. Could you get a spacer ring in between your band and your ering?
