My ring barely fits over my knuckle, and taking it on and off is starting to irritate my knuckle and cause a callus. This in turn has made my knuckle larger, which exacerbates the problem. Has anyone run into this? What did you do about it? I guess I could get it re-sized but the eternity band we bought is the same size. I will be wearing that one in two weeks. I don’t think eternity bands can be resized. I’m not sure what to do.

I’m running into a similar problem…was just going to post about it! I would definitely get your e-ring resized, maybe look into getting those sizing beads in addition to resizing if you like how it fits under your knuckle but just need a little extra room to go over the knuckle. As far as the eternity band…is it too late to return and maybe get a bigger size?

@ElbieKay: I would talk to your jeweler about it. I have the opposite problem, my finger is sort of shrinking where I wear my ring every day. I used to be an 8.25, now an 8 fits perfectly and spins in AC.

My wedding is in 2 weeks. I’m worried that if I try to exchange the band there won’t be enough time, and I want it in time for my ceremony. So, I think I will hold onto it until we’re back from our “mini-moon” and then take it back to the store and see what they can do. The eternity band is not that wide — think pave — but the cross section is square and I think part of the problem is that it’s not a comfort fit style. It doesn’t bother me when it’s on, but I think the shape exacerbates the knuckle issue.
My fiance thinks I’m crazy to try to exchange the band. Why would the store take it back? But I suspect they will be accomodating. Even if they won’t exchange it maybe they can help me modify the setting or something. We’ll see.
