I have side swipe bangs and I have no idea what I'm doing. I would love to have my bangs down...but I know that if they're not done right they get oily. YIKES!
I tend to look less 'mature' without them...so I'm really stuck.
What kind of bangs do you have?
i have the bangs across the forhead. I'm not really sure either. I know that i'm starting to worry about them on the honey moon too...
we're going to california after the wedding and then cancun two months later. I don't want that icky wet bang look when we go swimming.
You know, the kind you get when you get out of the shower??
You can always have them swept to the side or just pin it up (easier if you have an updo)
I have long, sideswept bangs (about cheekbone-level), and I intend to leave them down for the wedding day so that I look like myself. Of course, I'm planning on having some bobby pins on hand the day of, just in case I decide I don't want my hair in my face all day. Then I plan to pin them straight back, 1960s style, to keep them out of the way if need be.
I hope that helps! I'll see if I can find a picture of what I'm talking about if you like!
i also have the sideswept bangs and i will leave them down for the wedding. they're at about eye level right now. my hair stylist recommended that i let them grow out a bit before the wedding. so a couple months before i will start doing that so that they can be incorporated into the hairdo, but still have the appearance of bangs. if that makes sense.
I'm growing my bangs out right now, but at the moment I have pretty straight-across-forehead ones. I thought that if I had bangs for the wedding, I'd swoop them up and back in that little coif style. However, I spent most of my life without bangs, so I still look like myself with them back. Some people that have bangs look a tiny bit silly with them back if they never wear them that way. I think.
I have straight across the forehead bangs too! I cannot pull them back because my forehead gets oily really quickly. I'm probably just wearing them the way I always do for the wedding. I'm either wearing my hair down with a flower behind my ear or half up half down or a french braid or maybe even pigtails! My opinon is to wear them how you always wear them, so you don't look too different on your big day. That sounds weird or mean but I mean it the best way possible, I swear! :D
I'd love to know what you decide and if you could upload a picture of your hair so I can have an idea! :D Thanks and Good luck! :D
Sideswept bang girl too! Hair is graduated and bangs go from bottom of nose to chin length and then the sides kick in...layered.
I always wanted to have bags, but they make me look like I'm 5 years old...
I say wear them down for the wedding, you'll look best when you look like yourself!
I'm starting to get annoyed by my bangs. Before i decided to let them grow out they kept getting in my eyes and all that so I am now officaily growing them out. And very excited. and even more excited about buying some biotin this week!!
I trimmed my side swept bangs 2 weeks before the wedding (not the brightest idea, but it shows that I was chill throughout the planning process!). For the wedding I had my hair up in a modified chignon and loved that it wasn't in my face and showed off my earrings.
I have sidesweepy bangs too - just went for my first hair trial the other day and my hairdresser suggested I grow them out....boooooo.
I think I look better when I have my hair down if I have bangs, but my bangs won't cooperate with any up wedding hairstyle so it looks like I am growing them out.
Yup, another bride with the sideswept bangs here :) The only problem is that there's this one super annoying strand that doesn't ever want to sweep the right way. That's my only concern about having bangs at the wedding (which I will, regardless, because there's no way they could grow out before then). I look sort of crazy without them, though, I think. With all of my hair pulled back, you can see that I have an extremely long face.
I'm going to cut my bangs pretty soon... long ones! probably down to my nose.... here is a pic of the hairstyle I'm planning on doing with them!
do any of you have bangs though that you have due to a HIGH forehead? That's what I have..
so I have no choice...HAVE to every day wear bangs. For the wedding, really hadn't decided yet how to wear them?
I want to have bangs with my hair half up/half down in loose waves. Thoughts?
And is any brides with bangs have pics from your wedding I think you should post them!!! :)
my bangs are really long so they blend in with my hair but if you wanted to you could pin your hair to the side or on the top of your head with fancy hair pins for a glamourous look.
