I know you said she already has a good amount of religious stuff, but check to see if she has a cross yet for the nursery.  I got my goddaughter a really nice one for her baptism, and it was only $30.

I don’t know that you even HAVe to give a gift…if you’re not a godparent or very close friend or relative, I would think that a card is just fine. because you’re right, really, how many gifts can a 1-month old possibly need?

I went to a baptism this past Sunday and bought the baby girl a cute painted piggy bank from a local boutique (around $15) and folded up a $20 bill in a cute way and stuck in in the slot. Thought it was a nice way to start her savings 🙂

@Mrs. Fireworks: That’s a good idea! And a nice break from the religious-type gifts.

We got my husband’s goddaughter a ‘blessing box’ from this Etsy seller:

What about a pretty bud vase? It’s something she can keep till she gets older, and I’m sure mom would be happy to have some flowers in the nursery.
