I think this is a great idea! It will give your guests an idea of what's available & it will cut down on the wait time for a drink :)
Whenever there's a limited bar, the lineup is ALWAYS long because people ask for a drink only to hear "We have this, this & this instead..." Problem solved! Awesome idea, blue!
Thanks, Recessionista! I am currently trying to space it all out on the board... it's a time consuming project, and I started wondering if it was worth my efforts :)
I am doing something similiar too. I'm going to have extra paper leftover and extra table number holders, so I figured it's a good way to utilize them! Plus, like you said, at least people will know what they're getting by the time they reach the bar.
I think that is a great idea! I hate waiting until I get to the bar and taking forever to hear all the options. Your sign looks really good, too! But, and I hope this does not come off as snarky, I'm just trying to help out, chardonnay is spelled incorrectly. It has two n's. I'm sure no one will notice, but I thought I would let you know so you can change it if you want.
OHMYGOSH!! So embarrassing!!! I know it's spelled with two "n's" lol, I must have dropped one of the pieces! By the time my MOH and I got to the bottom, we were both hurrying to get done hehe. Thanks for pointing that out!!

Is anyone thinking about making a menu to put by the bar with the kinds of drinks available?
I'm on this DIY sign kick, so bear with me. Basically, I want to put Beer, Wine and Liquor at the top of the sign... and then list the kinds available under the headings. I figure this way, while people are standing in the unavoidable line, they can see what we have to offer, and make up their minds! (We're purchasing all of the alcohol ourselves).
It'll be on large, black foam board, with white lettering. I plan on putting the sign on a nice easel, off to the side of the bar.
Sooo am I crazy, or is this a good idea? Anyone else doing something similar?
