Weddingbee boards

  I use bare minerals makeup every day so I thought I wanted to use them for my wedding makeup. I didn't want to do it myself because I get way to nervous about messing things up and plus I wanted to look better than I typically do every day.;) It ended up that I would not have had enough time to get it done there so I went in to cancel my appointment. They said they could do it now just to show me some pointers so I said sure! But I told them to make it look natural. This is what their version of natural on me is....sorry but it's just not me.

Yikes, I ran out of there so fast and stopped at Sephora to use their makeup up remover wipes. I don't think all the makeup artists there would have caked it on so much so I am not by any means dissing on bare essentials. I love their makeup....just not this particular look.

I had it done at a place called Sahars day spa after that and I will be using them. I like it much better and was more of the natural look I was going for.

Bare Escentuals makes great make-up but the in store experience isn't always the greatest. I suspect that part of it is due to the lighting (it's dim and yellow), but also that not every person hired to work inside knows what they're doing. Maybe you had the misfortune of getting the person that wasn't that expert in that profession.

My friend and I both had bad experiencing at the Bare Essentials store (separately). I guess because we're both Asian, so the people helping us might have fixated on "Asians are yellow" and kept giving us yellow foundation powders which didn't match our skin tones. We both went to Sephora afterwards to wipe our faces off and ended up finding the powders that matched our skin tone by ourselves. 

They did HORRIBLE! It really takes about from how Beautiful you are. I've never seen anyone have that dark of make up on and look natrual lol. I Love the second picture, they did a great job making you look natural with just enough extra :) Gorgeous.

Glad you found a much better option.  Everything looks so much better and prettier in your last photo.

Hahaha these comments made me laugh. they are all so true. It was good for a good laugh at least. The girl kept telling me I had to have my makeup dark like this to show in the pictures. My 10yr old brother saw the picture and asked if it was for Halloween....now that is pretty bad.  Also, I didn't know mineral makeup was bad for pictures....why is that? I told the second place I wanted to look like myself, just a much prettier version. ;)
