I too barely remember exactly what my FI said. But I do remember the look in his eyes and how I felt at that exact moment...pure joy and love.
Haa I made FI repeat what he said later that day because I realized I had no idea what he said. As soon as I saw him get down on his knee I ended up bursting into tears and which I didn't think I would so I had no idea what was coming out of his mouth.
Don't worry, you're not the only one!
Both FI and I have no idea exactly what he said! He had been thinking all day, and kept changing what he was going to say so he ended up just going with whatever he thought at the moment. The problem with that being neither of us remember exactly what was said! haha

I remember what my FH said but he was so nervous that all he got out was "well I guess I should ask you" lol. So i wish i couldnt remember! lol
lol, totally not the only one! People kept asking me what exactly my proposal was like, and I had to be like, "uh, well, I remember he got down on one knee (even though for some reason I think he was standing back up again by the time I answered,) and at some point he asked me to marry him!"
You are in very good company! For me is was the emotion of the moment and also how . . . flattered and uncomfortable I was being the center of all his attention and affection and of some of the people around us. I could barely focus. Still one of the best days of my life though. :)
hahah! same as PP - no idea what he said but I also made him repeat it later and then he wrote it in our engagement book so i can re-read it when i want :)
I'm not really 100% sure how it went either -- as soon as I figured out what he was doing my head started spinning, and he didn't even say that much! The funny thing is he's convinced that I didn't actually say yes, whereas I'm pretty sure he didn't actually ASK me any question. :)
My honey proposed at christmas. I opened my gift and there a ring box was in the middle of M&M's that read will you marry me. He grabbed the box and asked me the question but I sat there with a grin on my face in a daze. It took me a few seconds to register what he asked before I said yes. So no, you are not alone!
I soooo do not remember what my FI said either! As soon as I realized what was happening I just kept thinking, "omg, is this really happening now? It's happening now. I can't believe it's happening now!" And then I realized that he had said a lot of stuff and I didn't really hear any of it! I know he said he loves me (obviously...) and he said something about wanting to move forward in our lives together, and being excited to have kids with me...but that's about all I remember. It's kind of funny, although at times I wish I had been more present mentally so I could remember what he said! Especially since he said he spent months agonizing over what he was going to say--but even he says he can't really remember exactly what he said, haha.

My honey proposed last weekend while we were on a cruise. We went for a walk at 1:30am cause it was the only chance we could be alone. He took me up to a top deck, then we sat on a bench and he proposed. It was perfect :)
Honestly, once he said I love you and started reaching into his pocket, I barely remember anything he said. I'm assuming the words "Will you marry me?" were said at some point cause he claims that he had to ask a second time whether I was saying yes, but it's pretty much a total blur.
Please tell me I'm not the only one lol
