I just got engaged and I am looking for my venue ~ I'm a country girl at heart living near the big apple in search of a country setting for my big day!!!! Like a pretty refinished barn or even like a winery setting idk.... But not being from this area and not having friends that would dream of having a wedding like this I don't know what my options are.... HELP BEES!!!

There's a place in Cold Spring, NY (not Cold Spring Harbor, NY) called Glynwood.  It's a working farm that also has event space.  My aunt had a fancy 50th birthday party there five years ago and it was wonderful.

Check out my working farm with cows, sheep, and goats.  You may find it on VRBO.com number 238884.  There are many great locations on the site for a wedding reception, and an additional benefit is that the wedding party can use the house as well.

you should try hiring a wedding planner! they would know of places we dont, especially for you since you dont know the area well...
