Our number one venue pick is available! We have a copy of the contract to look over and are visiting it this weekend ... and hopefully putting down a deposit!

Send good thoughts my way because .. oh my .. my FMIL is coming with us :/ She's starting to become a wee bit of a pest in the wedding planning area. FI and I are learning how to deal with her and still keep her happy though. Like ... still informing her of our plans but only asking for input when we really need help. This seems to be working. We're learning to be firm.

@BayStateBride: with the number of guests we're planning on having, we can easily have the ceremony and reception inside the barn if it rains.

Knock on wood.... we live in the high desert, so rain in July & August is a slim chance. If it does rain, it sprinkles lightly and clears up shortly after.

However ... I am prepared to have an indoor ceremony (reception will already be indoors).

The site also offers tents we can add if close to the date, the weather looks icky.
