Yay, pics worked.....let's try again for a little more dress inspiration. :)
I hope Mrs Glitter doesn't mind that I re-posted her picture. Her dress is STUNNING!!! *
I really don't have anything to add, but holy cow! That 1st dress is drop.dead.gorgeous!
Glad you like it, I'm having a dress custom made very similar to the first and also the second, I want that high back and neck however, I'm loving the 3/4 length sleeves too, so torn. :)
I have your tastes! except off the shoulder sleeves instead of 3/4 quarter length. I am in love with that first dress. Where did you find it? And how did you find someone to custom make your dress?
I love off the shoulder too. Have you picked a dress yet or tried any similar ones on? I knew in my head what I wanted so when I found pics online I would save them, I heard about an excellent boutique in Ohio that custm makes dresses, they have a very professional website and when I e-mailed them with questions and an estimate they e-mailed me back right away, plus they can make the dress in 12 weeks and I get to go there and be measured, touch the fabric etc... I'm really excited! The first two pictures are actually of different dresses, the second one is very similar in the font to the first but it was just way to pricey for me, the custom route will cost $1000 and remember that's with no alterations because they will make it to exactly how I want it.
No, I haven't picked a dress yet or even tried any on! I am currently studying abroad, so I won't try on dresses until I return in June...can't wait! and wow...this is so convenient you know a place in Ohio that makes custom made dresses because I am from Ohio! What boutique is it? I haven't been able to find anything online that exactly matches my dream picture, so that might be the way to go for me after I try on dresses.
Here is a link to the boutique: http://www.oohlalabridal.com/
Can you descrive your dream dress? Color, fabric etc...
Color: white
not too sure about the exact fabric since I haven't tried any on, but I know that I would want all over lace that is not sequined or beaded
form-fitting
mermaid/trumpet
off the shoulder (it would amazing to have an off the shoulder dress that could still have a back like the the one you posted)
cloth-covered buttons down the back (but I know these can be added)
and my budget is around $1000-$1300
I can't wait to find it!
Ah, we sound very, very similar in taste.
My requirements are:
Ivory or champage
Form fitting
All over lace
Mermaid
No train or at most a very slight train
Must not be strapless
And my budget is no more than $1300 but would prefer to stay under $1000
I already have a dress but changed my mind about it and decided to go with something more form fitting, here is the dress I have and this is not me in the dress, I just found this picture on Google on someone else wearing it:
I found these two on line....am I on the right track? One of them I really like but the girl modeling it is very thin and I don't think she does the dress justice to be honest but still, the dress itself is beautiful. The other pic may be of the same dress but on a different model.
Yes, definitely on the right track with that last one (especially the back). Thank you, I will bring that photo (and the others) with me to show a bridal consultant. I keep telling myself that there will be more dresses at the store that I haven't found yet and that it will all work out!
Check out some of these dresses- they're stylish "modest dresses" made for more religious brides. It's a little odd for me since I'm definitely NOT religious (or even that modest!) but I loooove some of these dresses!
I wore my mother's wedding dress to our civil ceremony, and it was pretty much all of these things. I'll see if I can attach a picture.

Unfortunately, I hadn't had time to get it properly altered, so it's not super-flattering. But I think the dress itself was great, and could look amazing when properly fitted.
historrine-that dress is amazing! i wish i could fit into my mothers dress. so romantic!!
Zuzu: Glad to help, if I come across anything else I'll be sure to pass it along. In my bridal shopping experience dresses like the ones we like were not common- actually, I never found a single dress like the ones we like, I probably have to go to a more exclusive or larger bridal salons maybe.
Missmary: My favorite on that site was B1028, it was modest but still stylish with the drop waist. Thanks for sharing those.
Historienne: Your Mothers dress is beautiful! I really like the length of the sleeves. The dress is a classic. Did you Mother offer it to you to wear or did you ask? May I ask how old the dress is?

Hi, I'm wondering if there are any Bee's who would like to share pictures of themselves in a dress with a bateau neckline, high neck or high back dress or a dress with 3/4 length sleeves? It seems that most dresses these days are strapless, I'm hoping to find some pictures of Brides who have similar taste to myself, I have posted a few pics to give you an idea of my style- hopefully the pics work *fingers crossed*
