Ok, I think this idea is adorable. I really want to include these for our guests. However, we have LOTS of children attending our wedding, and having medicine out makes me uncomfortable. That being said, do you think the baskets would still be useful, minus the medicine? Also, what sort of kid/parent friendly items could I include?

Wipes for sure. Kleenex, lotion, maybe some books for the kids..

Bathroom baskets are a great idea! They could even be helpful for parents and kids if they had things like Tide-to-Go spot removers in them. Just put them up high, right?
Also, a friend who was having a lot of kids at their wedding had a few “kids stations” around where the kids could play with a few small toys or color some pictures in honor of the happy couple!

I think you could still have the baskets, and if you put a pain releiver like Tylenol/Advil or something else, just make sure it is in a child proof container. The parents should be watching their children, so it shouldn’t be a problem. If you are having kids still in diapers at your wedding, maybe a few Pampers/Huggies or other diaper in several sizes would be nice along with some baby wiped. If you have kids that may be teething, maybe a couple teethers would be nice too. You should be able to find some sample packs of the diapers and wipes somewhere. If you have trouble, just go to their sites and see if you can purchase them from their, or better yet, call them up and see if they will send some to you for free.

That is a nice gesture from your part ! I agree with you I would not leave any type of medicine inside or around the basket it is a great liability and dangerous. If guest normally have headaches they tend to ask the host and that is when you come in and can assist them. But who GETS HEADACHES in weddings other than the bridal party 🙂 Its PARTY TIME. However be careful . For the kid/parent friendly basket please ensure that you have babywipes, destine (diaper rash cream my sister tends to forget the smallest things).

I know it sounds weird… but what about having a couple of the small packs of goldfish crackers in there in case a kid gets grumpy waiting for dinner? I guess it’s weird to think of mixing food in your bathroom basket though. Oh well, bad idea maybe.
