I would go with a nice carribbean blue.

I just want to say after your post this morning I want to warn you about putting too much time and money into your home right now.  If you are really second guessing your relationship I think you should try to make sure you want to move forward with your Fiance before you focus on home improvements.

I would do neutral colors on the walls, and use colorful accessory pieces that pop.  Then it will be changable when you get tired of it.  One of our bathrooms is red and white.  If I want to change it completely, all I have to do is remove a candle, a towel, and three wall pictures.  Then I can add whatever new color I want!

Well I guess you need some work then.. studs don’t really get the job done do they?

I personally love a green bathroom.

I think you could go almost any direction…
Greens, yellows, blues…  Red’s natural opposite is green, that’s why I would personally lean toward that with the cherry cabinets:

Maize, Celery green, Mint green, teal, aquamarine, something greeny or blue I think would be perfect, but go light, color in a bathroom can be overwhelming, then you can always go darker

But I’m also a fan of cool colors..
