Weddingbee boards

Hello everyone,

I am recently engaged and trying to plan a wedding for Sept 2011.  I am trying to find a venue that doesn't require a lot of do it yourself and has some character, so I don't have to spend a lot on decorating it.

Our budge is tight, it's about 20k for everything (not including the dress), as I'll buy that for myself as a present :)

So far, I've contacted everywhere from NJ venues, queens, brooklyn and Manhattan.  I really love the Battery Gardens.  We can't have a friday, sat or sunday evening wedding there, as we are only expecting 70 guests, but they are open to a weekday evening wedding.

Has anyone booked a weekday wedding there recently and if you don't mind, can you tell me how much they charged you, and what they included?  how negotiable are they?  you can PM me.

I wouldn't even know where to start and what to ask for.  Please help :)
