I am a BG bride-to-be. please tell me how the wedding went, I want to know everything, did you have your ceremony there? how was that bridal room? and the food, what do you recommend?
I'm also a future BG bride! Any recommendations on decor or space planning? Also, did you use any of their in house vendors? What would you recommend for food?

I'm a BG bride - next month! We're going with the included linens as well. I feel like the light color of the room and linens will make the flowers really pop and look vivid.
I have to say, I'm 110% satisfied with everything so far.
I'm working on my menu and floorplans now, I'll share when I'm all set. :) We are having our ceremony there (upstairs). As for food, I've eaten there a few times (@ weddings as well as just for dinner with FH) & never had a dish I didn't like.
Good luck Miss Meepsie!! Glad to see there is another BG Winter bride here =) I'd love to know what you've decided for your menu since all of their dishes are delicious!

Hey there future BG Brides!
Just wanted to let you know that my wedding went off without so much as a single hiccup on Friday! I was beyond pleased with everyone/everything @ the BG. I'll post photos as soon as I have some pro-pics.
Everything was amazing - the food, the service, the location, even the weather! :) My guests (especially the out of towners) were all beyond amazed with the location & the view. :)

I have another question for ya. I'm thisclose to becoming a BG bride myself (super excited!!), in the process of reviewing the contract. But, the thing is, I absolutely HATE negotiating, and I also feel like I have absolutely NO idea what kinds of stuff I should even be asking for versus what they would never agree to. So before I start to attempt negotiating (bleh), and I really hope this isn't too personal and/or rude of me to ask, but I would love to know:
- Approx what you're paying (particularly for a Saturday night rate in the warmer months) and with what minimum
- What if any extras you were able to get them to throw in
- And in general, if they're willing to negotiate with you, or I should just suck it up and sign on the dotted line

marcam - we haven't booked them yet...we are meeting with Billy next week to see his samples based on our ideas. the price he quoted ($4000) covered 17 centerpieces, an arch, my bouquet, 5 bridesmaid bouquets, 3 mom/grandma nosegays, 9 boutonnieres, chair covers, and "boxes of petals" for decoration.

hi BG brides! i need help! do any of you have photos from your wedding with dark-color table cloths in the upstairs room? i am having a serious conflict whether or not to go with a dark color, since the room is so white, or stick with that they have, since that option is free. my flowers are dark reds and oranges, but i feel that the centerpieces, even though full of color and tall, will get lost in such a light-colored room. suggestions??
