Okay so Im having 2 MOHs. One is my first cousin and yes we are VERY close.. even our b-day is 4 days apart. My 2nd MOH is my best friend. We’ve been friends since elementary. My cousin thinks that it would be neat to have that pop of color under my dress. I would like that too but I dont think my traditional ivory dress would look so great with that going on and I thought about just going ahead and being “safe” and getting an ivory shoe. My cousin is so convinced that I “NEED” this she offered to pay for my shoes just to see to it this happens. My best friend thinks it wouldnt look good, that it would be tacky. Neither girls have seen my dress at all. My wedding colors are navy blue, champagne and peach. Im having peach carnations for the flowers and the BMs dresses will be navy blue and their shoes will be champagne colored. Here is my dress:

I’m a sucker for a *pop* of color.

I think the blue would be fun. But do what you want to do, not what either of your MOHs think you should do!

I wasd unsure about coloured shoes too, I also have an ivory lace dress. Eventually I went for it and ordered my apple green shoes from an Etsy seller. I brought my shoes to my last dress fitting, and WOW did they look fantastic! I say go for the blue shoes!

How about two pairs of shoes? Ivory for ceremony and COLOR for reception? But, yeah, I’m totally rocking color.

I don’t think a dress can be too traditional for shoes with a pop of color! But I agree with PP, do what you like best, not what someone else thinks!

I have never seen a pair of colored shoes with a wedding dress that I didn’t like.
I think that you need to do what is comfortable for you.

I’m a color girl so I say go with blue. If not blue, I think you should go with peach.

Your dress will look fantastic with blue shoes! Besides, no one is honestly going to see them if you don’t show them. With blue shoes, there is a chance you will wear them again too!

I say go for the colour (: I love peach shoes, but I’m pretty biased since I just bought my peach wedding shoes from Ruche the other day haha. The blue would also be really pretty (definitely NOT tacky!)

I didn’t vote because my say is to go with anything but ivory! Unless you just really like that look, which is totally fine and go with it if you do. I personally think it is super fun to have some lovely shoes that speak to your personal style. Almost no one will see them unless you want them to so just do what you love.
That being said I think that navy and champagne shoes could both be considered safe -they are in your wedding colors and are both formal “neutrals” so it would be just fine to do this.
The peach could be very lovely. In my opinion you should cultivate your own personal wedding day look-which can be completely different from the colors of the wedding.
Ex-my wedding colors are blush, light peach, pale gold and pewter grey.
My dress is ivory and I will (likely) be wearing saphire color shoes with jewelry that has peach and light blue crystals. Just some thoughts.
All in all go with your style.
